Band Director

Classification: Full-Time Faculty Member
Supervisor: Music Department Chair & Chief Academic Officer
Supervises: None

Provides instrumental instruction, as well as moral, ethical, and spiritual instruction for assigned students in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of HSBC/CA and the curricular programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach band classes for assigned levels
  • Prepare the band classes for competitions, Christmas Parade and special services
  • Oversee the care and distribution of instruments as needed
  • Work with teachers, administrators, and church personnel to find ways to showcase band students’ skills

Chief Financial Officer

Classification: Full-Time Staff Member
Supervisor: President
Supervises: Director of Purchasing, Business Office Staff, Bookstore Manager

Oversees business office and accounting procedures, school financial policies and procedures, and development of office policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for all financial services
  • Oversight of purchases and disbursements
  • Maintains relations with financial institutions
  • Oversight of facilities maintenance and improvements
  • Coordination of legal work

Vice President of Advancement

Classification: Full-Time Staff Member
Supervisor: President
Supervises: Assistant for Advancement

Develops and coordinates the activities and programs of HSBC/A relating to donor relations and fund-raising

Responsibilities
  • Donor relations
  • Work with foundations
  • Develop memorial gift plans
  • Develop direct communications
  • Work with planned giving
  • Develop matching gift plan
  • Coordinate regional alumni and friends gatherings
  • Organize and supervise Phonathon
  • Plan the Partnership Banquet
  • Plan other fundraisers
  • Assist in areas of public relations as needed

Salary is determined through a combination of the following:

Salary is distributed on a 10 month or 12 month basis.
