Accreditation Visit

Hobe Sound Bible College, FL will be hosting a comprehensive accreditation visit by a team of evaluators from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) April 28-30, 2026 to determine its compliance with the standards for accreditation. During the visit, representatives of the ABHE team will entertain comments from the public.

Any members of the public interested in making a presentation regarding the College to the accreditation team are invited to attend a scheduled session on Wednesday, April 29, from 2:30–3:30 PM in the Herron Center, AD 1. They appear under Accreditation/Accreditation Resources/Accreditation Materials/COA Standards and Policies Manual. The institution is subject to the Institutional Accreditation Standards.

Accreditation Status Notice

The ABHE Commission on Accreditation has placed Hobe Sound Bible College on Warning for the following weakness in meeting accreditation standards:

Standard 1: EE 2

Repeated failure to provide the Teach-Out Plan and Agreements by required due dates.

Accreditation Status During Warning

Hobe Sound Bible College remains fully accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education during this period of warning.

The institution will be subject to periodic monitoring by the Commission on Accreditation, which may include progress reports and/or focused evaluation visits.

Possible Commission Actions

If the identified weakness is not resolved within the specified time frame (usually one year), the Commission on Accreditation may take one of the following actions:

  1. Extend the warning for a second year
  2. Place the institution on probation
  3. Require the institution to show cause why its accreditation should continue
  4. Withdraw accreditation status
